Tai Ortiz

Tai Ortiz Is a New York Based Actor, Trained at The Neighborhood Playhouse.

Born and bred in NYC, Tai has always had a passion for film. She has a B.A. in Film from Brooklyn College & is a Macaulay Honors College Scholar. After she graduated, she discovered that she was much better suited in front of the camera than behind it. Therefore, Tai took the plunge into acting by attending The Neighborhood Playhouse in 2023. At the playhouse, she gained a deep understanding of the Meisner technique, as well as jazz and modern dance, stage combat, and singing.

Upon completing the program in 2025, Tai was cast as Van Helsing in Brad Lemons’ production of Dracula. Most recently, Tai performed at The Sargent Theater as Melissa in Let it Storm, written and directed by Laura Archer as well as Waitress in Free Lunch, written and directed by AP Hello as part of the Midtown International Theater Festival.
